A tale of two foodies!

The Larder was opened in April 2014 by us – two local foodies Katherine & Cynthia – and it’s been growing month by month ever since.

We met several years ago during mad dashes to collect our children from nursery in the days when we had proper jobs! After giving up busy careers, we soon decided that setting up a general store with deli would be much more fun – and satisfy our love of delicious, local food.

We’re passionate about food: we’re interested in the way it tastes, what’s in it and how it’s produced. Our motto is “we try before we buy” and every item we sell is test tasted by us and our team. If it doesn’t pass our taste test it isn’t stocked.

We just love good, honestly produced, fresh food which is produced locally where possible. If we can’t source local, we’ll source the best.
